Situated in the heart of idyllic Swaledale, Roof Farm Cottage offers comfortable accommodation and magnificent panoramic views. Converted from a barn in 2001 this peaceful cottage boasts beautiful décor and modern conveniences within a traditional stone built cottage. The cottage is totally self-contained with gated off-road parking and is adjacent to the owners own home to ensure peace and quiet during your stay.
The location is ideal for walkers, cyclists and is also a haven for bird watchers and has gained prominence following the 2014 Tour de France. Alternatively, you may wish to relax with a good book whilst enjoying the views from any of the windows or south facing patio. The cottage overlooks meadows to the front which in spring play host to new born lambs and between May and July become traditional hay meadows. To the rear is Common Pasture Land where cows and sheep, with their young, are free to graze predominantly during the summer months.
Located close to the village of Gunnerside this stunning, cosy cottage offers the perfect base to explore the Dales, or just relax. The unspoilt village of Gunnerside hosts the Kings Head, a refurbished pub/restaurant, a licensed tea room/bistro and a café with other visitor attractions on your doorstep.
